Response to Intevention: START-IN Training Program
$89.00  - Register Now!

Seminar Description

Response to Intervention (RTI) is a new method to determine if students have learning disabilities and need to be identified for special education services. If they respond well to intensive, systematic, research-based interventions they are not likely to be disabled. They do not need to be placed in special education programs—but they do need continued support and strategic instruction to be successful. This session reviews the basis for RTI options in schools, and introduces one evidence-based program entitled START-IN. This program will review START-IN’s sixteen tasks including lesson rationale and demonstrations for students in grades 3-8. START-IN may also be used for students who are enrolled in a special education program and need intensive reading intervention.
