Seminar Description

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this seminar, the participant will:

Complete a thorough assessment for a client with a fluency disorder within the current guidelines of evidence-based practice.

Generate goals for a client with a fluency disorder based upon data collected during the fluency assessment.

Document success during fluency therapy using a data-based data collection sheet.

Apply theoretical constructs of fluency therapies to select client needs and goals.

Apply the current literature findings of Yairi et al. and Onslow et al. to make informed clinical decision regarding fluency clients.

Continuing Education Credit and Certificate of Attendance

Dr. John A. Tetnowski, CCC-SLP
John A. Tetnowski, Ph.D., CCC-SLP is the Ben Blanco/BoRSF Endowed professor of Communicative Disorders at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he also serves as the Coordinator for the Ph.D. program in Applied Language and Speech Sciences. He has published extensively in the areas of stuttering, assessment, and research methods. He has presented nationally and internationally on stuttering assessment and intervention. Dr. Tetnowski is a Board Recognized Fluency Specialist and Mentor. He has treated individuals who stutter for almost 20 years.
